Inert, lightweight helium for leak detection, controlled atmospheres, balloon inflation and cryogenic cooling — supplied in high-pressure cylinders.
Helium (He) is an inert, non-flammable noble gas with the lowest boiling point of any element. Its small molecule makes it the gas of choice for sensitive helium leak detection of vessels, heat exchangers and vacuum systems, while its low density is used for lifting and lighter-than-air applications.
Helium is also used in shielding-gas blends for high-speed welding, as a cooling medium in cryogenics (including MRI superconducting magnets), and as a carrier and purge gas in laboratories and electronics. IIGAS supplies helium in high-pressure cylinders and banks.
