Inert argon shielding gas for TIG and MIG welding, metal production and high-temperature processes — pure and in tailored mixtures.
Argon (Ar) is a noble, completely inert gas separated from air during cryogenic distillation. Its inertness and density make it the standard shielding gas for arc welding, where it protects the molten weld pool from atmospheric oxygen and nitrogen to produce clean, strong, spatter-free joints.
IIGAS supplies welding-grade and pure argon in high-pressure cylinders, cylinder banks and as liquid argon, along with argon-CO₂ and argon-helium mixtures tuned for specific metals and deposition rates. Beyond welding, argon is used for steel degassing, heat-treatment and sintering atmospheres, crystal growth, and as a fill and carrier gas in analytical instruments and lighting.
