Carbon dioxide (CO₂) is a versatile, non-flammable gas supplied by IIGAS in food and industrial grades, as liquefied gas in cylinders and bulk, and as solid dry ice. Food-grade CO₂ carbonates soft drinks and beer and creates modified atmospheres (MAP) that extend the shelf life of packaged food.

In fabrication, CO₂ (alone or blended with argon) is an economical MIG/MAG welding shielding gas. As dry ice, solid CO₂ freezes and chills products and powers dry-ice blast cleaning. CO₂ is also used for pH control in water treatment, as a chemical feedstock, and in CO₂ fire-suppression systems.
